Sleepy Day *Zzzzzzzzz...*

Last night was one heck of a night. I think I got about a total of four hourse of sleep last night. This mommy of two babies need to get some good Zzzzzzz's in. Too bad Ruben had to work I know he wouldnt of helped me out. So this is how it went down. We went and snuggled in bed around 8:30-9ish. It was tough for Mikaela too go to bed she was fighting for about a good hour! Aaron on the other hand took his last dose of tylenol before knocking out within five minutes. A new record? Maybe. So back to Mikaela she was fussy and when I say fussy I mean not wanting to latch on to nurse. That's not like her so I figure she might be hot. I then took off all her PJ'S and sure enough that was it withing ten minutes she was out. So now it was ME time. Even though in all realness I don't need me time cause I love being awake and active with my kids. I spent about a good hour scrolling the internet/missing my husband. Gosh graveyards are the pits! I was out by 10:30pm. Then at 2ish my boy woke up with a slight fever again :( I then gave him another dose of tylenol and some milk in his cupy. He was out again. Mikaela then woke up and wanted to be nursed back to sleep. Tag team much? Yup they do it ALL the time. Then around 4ish my boy woke up again and just wanted to snuggle (who doesnt love mommy's kisses when there sick?) I then rubbed his arm and hair so he could fall back to sleep. He fell back asleep we then woke up later to find Daddy got home and was right were he needed to be...snuggled in bed with us. :) Ahh the little things.

Our day consisted of alot of lazyness. Boo to that I like being productive and having energy but I had to take care of my boy during the night. Priorites ;) Lunch was not as diverse as I would of liked we ate tacos again per ruben's request. Boy does he love my tacos.

So as the day is now winding down my boy is laying on my shoulder as I write this. I need to finish the laundry for camping this weekend. Alot to do and so little time camping for two babies, my husband and myself is a headache but I can do it.

So for now I will leave you with this...Pick and choose what you decide to stand for make sure it is something you believe in. Don't make every little thing in your life a major priority. Compromising it one of the best feature anyone can have.

Snookers Under the Weather

Well this morning Aaron woke up with a running nose. We were a little suprised by it. He hardly get sick much less a running nose and FEVER. *knock on wood* He is always our little trooper and has a great immune system but today nope. Running nose, fever, achy, and fussy. Poor my baby if only it could be me instead of him. No pain or hurting for him would be great but that's not how it works. I put him and bed and allowed him to watch cartoons all day he even got unlimited bottles. Yeah I know, a two-year old with a bottle?! It makes him happy. He feels secure. I was lienent with him. I gave him a childrens tylenol dose twice today and one her soon since bed time is coming near.

Me and Ruben figured out how he got a small cold. Lately it seems as though the nights are getting colder and Aaron abosolutely can't stand covers on top of him. Well the other night his pamper leaked on his matress and mommy and daddy were to tired to put new PJ'S on so he slept ALL night in his pamper. Poor my boy...NEVER AGAIN. We learned our lesson.

As for a quick update for Mikaela she is slowly trying to turn over. She turn her head great but can't seem to get the rest of her body to cooperate. OH! and on Tuesday she GIGGLED at her brother for the first time ever. I was so proud. AND to add more joy to it her big brother was the reason behind it. *proud momma here* My mom was there to witness the whole thing. How awesome right?! I am a momma's girl :) She is such a happy and joyful baby. Thank you Jesus for my angels you allowed us to have. Life is good.

Ruben is currently working graveyard. Boo hoo :( We both hate being apart and much less at nigh time. But good news is we found out he got the days off for this weekend! That means we will be heading out for the families annual labor day weekend camping trip! Yippee :) Black canyone or Drift Fence Lake? It is still up in the air. Still waiting on the families decsion. Crossing my fingers for Black Canyon. It has a beautiful creek that runs through the camp with great walking trails. We shall see. I'll keep you updated.

So for now I will leave you with this. I love my life. I love my Children. I love my amazing husband. (I will have to write a entry about just how amazing he is *brag alert*) Thank you Lord. Thank you thank you. Take time to enjoy your loved ones because in a second it could all change.

A Day in Our Life

This morning we woke up with a nice suprise. Our son Aaron was "playing" angry birds on our family iPad. (went and snuck it in his bed all by himself. *sneaky sneaky*) All snuggled away in his bed. As for our baby girl she was a happy as can be laying beside us...talking baby talk. So in other words our precious angels let us sleep in. What a treat :) We then gave them good morning kisses.
Those are the memories one will never forget.....

Ruben and I had many errands to run today.
-Wal-Mart grocery shopping and also bug spray for around the house. (found a yucky black widow in our car the other day) :( :( :(
-took Aaron to Burger King for the first time. He went down to slide all by himself BIG deal for us :)
-pay bank bill
-drop library rentals off
-stop by my moms shop
-etc....

We got home and decided to be lazy for the remainder of the day. Lately we have become quite addicted to Law and Order SVU on Netflix. It has become our special little treat lately. We are what you call obsessed with it but nothing we can't control. ;)

For dinner, We decided beef taco's sounded delicious. I then decided  I would give spanish rice another try. Everytime I have attempted to make rice I always srew it up somehow or thee other. This time perfection and I figured out why!
Before when I would cook the rice I would never give it time to steam the rice I would always leave the lid on for about 5 to 10 minutes tops. Not no more I figured it needs about 20 minutes of simmer/steaming time.
I was very proud...Ruben and Aaron LOVED it which makes this mom/wife feel like I made a huge feast ;)

As the day was coming to an end. I decided to make Kale chips. Kale chips are basically the healthier version of potato chips except they are made from kale leaves and baked in the oven. Well the outcome was not so great. I did not like the taste once so ever! I think I will just stick with another alternative for now.
We have extra Kale leaves so me and Aaron went for a walk to give them to my dad's horses. Nice little alone time with Aaron is always a delight.

Well I must really trust you because I allowed you to come into a day of our lives. Which our pretty special to me...

So for now I will leave you with this. All the day has to offer is usually busyness and earthy matters. But always look to the ways of God and all that he gave us to truly be thankful for such as the smiles that my boy gave me as we held hands walking to feed an innocent animal.

And so it begans...

Well where do I began? It feel's good not caring of what other's may think of me and that I can began to write about anything my heart desires...free speech rocks right!? I will began of my troubles that I have been dealing with lately. When I say troubles I am meaning small minor troubles compared to some that are so much more larger than what I create in my own head.

Potty training. We have began the process of potty training..ugh what a mess! It is so much harder than I though it would be. Here I am thinking I am super woman when in fact I feel a little defeated. My son is such a trooper. He will sit on the "potty" whenever we attempt to place him there but nothing happens just sitting. It tough we do not want to discipline for "not pottying". So we let him go on with his day. I have began to think that he is just not ready. We will wait till he is ready. We do not want to force him into anything he is not ready for. Although I know I will get comments from others I will not mind them. He is our son and we will decide what is best for him. Well this was fun and I have to admit makes me feel a little bit better. So for now I will leave you with this.

Do not follow the ways of this world. Go by what is important to you and what you may believe in.
